Dreamland Beach

Dreamland Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in Bali. It’s located about one hour south of Denpasar. Along this trip, you can see other popular attractions like Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Balangan Beach, Padang Padang Beach, Blue Point Beach, Uluwatu, and dance performances at Uluwatu Temple.

The beach got its name from the region, Pecatu, a developing luxury tourist destination and one of the most unique in Southeast Asia. The financial crisis hurt development in 1998 when many major projects were abandoned. But now, the area is thriving with hotels, villas, restaurants, and golf courses. You’d never know the area was barren before construction began – it truly is the land of dreams!

Like many beaches in the area, Dreamland Beach is positioned along steep cliffs. Descend the stairwell to reach the golden sands, or, enjoy the view from above. There are plenty of food and souvenir shops nearby in case you need anything. As well as restaurants positioned perfectly for sunset.

This is also a fantastic spot for surfers! Large waves attract surfers from around the world, professionals and beginners alike. If surfing’s not your thing, you can rent umbrellas and relax, go swimming, or play beach volleyball.

Note: Dreamland Beach operates under International Law. Which means, alcohol is permitted and women can be topless.
