Tukad Cepung Waterfall

Tukad Cepung is one of the most unique waterfalls in Bali. The 15 meter falls are located in a tropical cavern in Penida Kelod Village in northern Bangli. On our journey, we’ll pass a clock monument and be about 10 minutes from the Tembuku Monument.

But let’s get to the falls!

After parking, we’ll descend stone stairs to the valley and pass a few local shops in case you need refreshments. Throughout the journey, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of nature. Splash some crisp water from the stream to cool yourself, and take deep breaths of the fresh air.

Upon reaching the entry point, we’ll descend steep, dirt stairs to the cavern (there are bamboo reinforcements to help your balance). Within moments, you’ll be standing below towering, stone walls. Vines and foliage drape over the canopy, and cool mist flows through the passageway.

A short walk brings us to the falls. Here, you can swim, take photos, or simply take in the view. On clear days, sunshine bursts through the entry point, creating beautiful sun rays among the waterfall mist. Truly, a hidden paradise.
